Sunset Beach Water Tower House

Arcadia

From Pacific Avenue in Sunset Beach, one gets a good view of one of the most unique residences in Orange County. The Water Tower House located at 1 Anderson Street is a luxury tri-level home with two master suites, a bar, a fire pit lounge, an outdoor Jacuzzi, and an office in a view room at the top. In 1945, water was pumped from an artesian well from Bolsa Chica bluffs to the tower to service Sunset Beach and Surfside. The tower was deactivated in 1974. By 1985, it had been converted into a house. The earlier image dates back to 1966. (Photographs courtesy of Chris Epting.)
