In 1901, when Dr. J.W. Hill could not extend his contract to run the Bishop Scott Academy on acceptable terms, he constructed this school on Marshall Street in Block 13 of the Goldsmith Addition in Portland, Oregon. It was replaced by the current site in Rocky Butte in 1931.
