The Oregonian Building

Arcadia

Finished in 1892, the Oregonian Building was the first steel-frame building constructed in the western United States. Besides the "Oregonian" newspaper operations, the building was also the first home of KGW radio. It was demolished after the "Oregonian" moved to its new site in Portland in 1946.
