The Ferry-Morse Seed Company opened its western headquarters on Evelyn Avenue and Whisman Road in 1951. When the plant opened, Ferry-Morse was one of just a handful of major industrial operations in Mountain View, and its arrival was welcomed with great excitement. Ferry-Morse operated its Mountain View location until 1985. The plant was demolished and has since been replaced with the Mountain View Corporate Center office park.
