In 1901, S. T. Henley opened his grocery store at 1406 West South Avenue directly across the street from the old Chicago and Alton Railroad depot. The building was acquired by the Antoine Seed Company and razed for its new store in 1974. The men in this photograph, from left to right, are S. T. Henley, John Elsea, and Art Selby. (Joe Antoine.)
