Ben Paris Restaurant, 1959

Arcadia

The Ben Paris Restaurant was a Seattle institution for many years. It was a combination of a restaurant, bar, pool hall, and sporting goods store. It was located on the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and Pine Street on the lower level of the Eitel Building. In the late 1920s, Ben Paris’s Terminal Concessions Company and Bartell Drugs entered mutually into a 76-year lease of the Eitel Building. In 1946, the Eitel Building was sold to L.E. Nudelman. In 1948, Bartell Drugs and Ben Paris still occupied the street fronts. (Courtesy of the Robert H. Miller Collection)
